Archaeological field course on Viking farmstead,Gotland

In July summer 2008, excavations of a Viking Age farmstead will take place on the island of Gotland, Sweden.

Gotland has a tremendous rich heritage from the Viking Age, not at least seen in the more then 700 silver hoards and thousands of stray finds found on the island.

The field course is open to amateurs as well as professional archaeologist.

It will be carried out in 2-4 weeks courses, and one can choose to have one owns living or have full pension at Fårösund People School.
