In July summer
2008, excavations of a Viking Age farmstead will take place on the
island of Gotland, Sweden.
Gotland has a
tremendous rich heritage from the Viking Age, not at least seen in the
more then 700 silver hoards and thousands of stray finds found on the
island.
The field course is
open to amateurs as well as professional archaeologist.
It will be carried
out in 2-4 weeks courses, and one can choose to have one owns living
or have full pension at Fårösund People School.
Further information
will soon be displayed at www.arkeodok.com
